Why We Give Back to Associations

At EveryLibrary and the EveryLibrary Institute, we believe that strong professional associations are critical to the future of libraries.

The post-COVID landscape for libraries is beginning to come into focus. School libraries and public libraries have to anticipate unique challenges and they need strong library organizations in place to help. Unfortunately, the state and national library association ecosystems are still reeling from canceled conferences, disrupted membership cycles, difficult annual fundraising efforts, and other revenue losses.

That's why we are sharing part of every Library Advocacy and Funding Conference registration with state, provincial, or national library organizations across the US and around the world. In 2022, we are pledging to share $20 USD from each registration with state library associations (for U.S. registrants) or national library associations (for international registrants). This includes both state school library associations and state multi-type library associations.

We are providing this financial support in a spirit of cooperation and mutual aid. There are no strings attached to these donations. Our hope is that we have wide-ranging participation in the conference. If that happens, we think everyone will benefit.

Registration opens in March 2022. Registration gives you access to more than 40 sessions, panels, and keynotes from the world of political action, community organizing, fundraising, and philanthropy. All sessions are available on-demand using our stable, scalable platform. Attendees, presenters, and sponsors are invited to learn and collaborate through our dedicated Slack channels for a truly interactive experience. We expect that attendees will see their political advocacy and funding efforts taken to a new level.

We know from our work on local library ballot measures, school library actions, and legislative campaigns that an active library advocacy ecosystem is vital to preserving and growing funding for school libraries, public libraries, and academic libraries in the U.S. and abroad. Together, we can grow support for libraries and garner the funding needed for a strong future.
